John Pritchard - Executive Director
John Pritchard has worked in the health care industry for 20 years as an administrator and president/operations manager for nursing homes.
He obtained his B.S. in business administration from California State University, Los Angeles and has a California Administrator License (No. 2618).
For nearly 10 years, Mr. Pritchard was stockholder, president and operations officer of Ukiah Valley Nursing Homes, Inc. where he was a managing partner of a partnership that owned the nursing home’s real estate. For two years he was senior administrator for Pacific Regency which operates seven skilled facilities out of Vallejo, Ca. From October 2000 to February 2002 he administered a 177 bed facility, Arden Rehabilitation a health care center, in Sacramento. Before coming to St. John’s in 2003 he administered a 120 bed skilled nursing facility, Vacaville Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center.
Brenda Faapepele, R.N. - Director of Nursing - Stollwood Convalescent Hospital
Since 1979 Brenda Faapepele has worked as a Registered Nurse in a variety of capacities. She earned her nursing degree from De Anza College in Cupertino, Ca. For six years she operated a private consulting business offering nursing expertise in state and federal licensing regulations and monitoring or program plans, services and training of facility personnel. She has been a director of nursing services since 1984 throughout Northern California. She came to Stollwood Convalescent Hospital from SunBridge Care Center in Paradise where she was Director of Nursing Services for five years. Her 30 years of nursing experience is an asset to Stollwood Convalescent Hospital where she supervises 15 nurses and oversees the care of 48 patients.
Theresa Ely, PCU Supervisor/Assistant Administrator, LVN
Since the beginning of her career, Theresa Ely, LVN, has worked at St. John’s Retirement Village in a variety of capacities. She also obtained experience from other facilities, always returning to her “home” here.
Theresa graduated in 1983 from Yuba College with a certificate in vocational nursing. She started at Stollwood Convalescent Hospital as a Certified Nursing Assistant while waiting to take state boards. Once she obtained her license, she became the PM Charge Nurse at St. John’s. In 1992 she moved to Yuba City where she worked in a medical group holding various positions in urology, allergy and nursing management. She also worked at Fremont Medical Center in Yuba City in the pediatrics, medical, surgical and obstetrics departments. In 1998 she received an Associates Degree and returned to St. John’s as the Staff Developer. In 2000 she worked for the University of California Davis Family Practice and returned to St. John’s in 2005, again as Staff Developer. August of 2006 Theresa was promoted to PCU Supervisor/Assistant Administrator. She received her RCFE Administrator’s license December 2006.
As Assistant Administrator, Theresa oversees the operations and resident care in the Personal Care Unit, The Village and both Manors.
Siv Winberg - Controller
Siv Winberg’s professional career has been in accounting and finance both as a Certified Public Accountant and lately as Controller / Director of Finance of non-profit organizations.
She received her accounting education in her native Sweden and the U.S. She has an MBA in taxation from Golden Gate University and is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in California.
After working for CPA firms in Beverly Hills and Carmel she opened her own CPA firm. After a move to the Bay Area and a hiatus raising her children she left the public accounting field and became the Controller for Marin Conservation Corps, a position she held for more than five years. She was the Controller / Director of Finance for United Religions Initiative and Bay Area Community Resources. In October 2004 she joined St. John’s Retirement Village as the controller.
Tita Anderson, Assistant Administrator/Marketing Coordinator
Tita Anderson, a native of the Philippines, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the University of the Visayas in Cebu City, Philippines. After graduation, she held several different jobs in the Philippines—an assistant newspaper editor, a legal researcher for a law office, and a unit manager for an insurance company—before getting married and coming to the United States.
Tita lived in Moses Lake, Washington and worked for Grant County, Western Union, and Schwan’s Sales Enterprises before moving to Woodland, California in 1985. When her two children started first grade and kindergarten in 1987, Tita began working for St. John’s Retirement Village.
She started as an on-call employee for St. John’s, and later became a nurse’s aide. After several years, Tita completed dementia classes and training and began managing St. John’s Dementia/Alzheimer’s Unit at the same time also assisting in marketing. In 2005, she received her RCFE Administrator License..
